Rennes, capital city of Brittany, is perfect for a student mobility of a semester, a year or longer. With 210 000 residents, including 63 000 students, Rennes owns all the advantages of a big city while offering the standard of living of a human scale city. Incidentally, Rennes is classified every year among the best French cities to study.

As a cultural and sportive city, it offers numerous services : cinemas, libraries, sports facilities, pubs, theaters, restaurants…

Rennes is also conveniently located to discover France. Served by an airport and a train station, it’s located 1h25 away from Paris by train and about 1 hour away from the sea. It’s also closed from monuments such as the Mont Saint Michel and the Châteaux of the Loire. Last, the life in Rennes has several advantages for students : the cost of living (housing,transportation…) is much cheaper than Paris and lots of services are available for students : controlled rent university campuses (160 to 250 euros), university cafeterias (offering a full meal for 3€25, for the academic year 2016-2017). Public transport is also very developed (metro, night buses, bicycle-sharing system...).

The Faculty of Law and Political Science

The Faculty of Law and Political Science is located right by the historic center of Rennes. It’s next to a university cafeteria and the universitary library.

It offers a wide choice of courses to foreign students, from the first year (licence 1) to the last (master 1). It’s possible to study public law (french, international, european…), private law (business law, civil law…), the law history as well as the political science.

By coming to study at the Faculty of Law and Political Science, students can benefit from lots of services at their disposal, such as free French lessons or free sports lessons : the University offers a wide choice of sport activities.
